Reading frenzy

Ok, I haven't posted in a while, but I had to write about some of the books I've been reading lately. First, I delved into The God of Small Things. It was certainly not a book I loved, but I did enjoy some of Roy's sense-laden descriptive writing.

Then, I went straight to Memoirs of a Geisha. I know, I know, I should have read this one a long time ago. I really loved it. Some readers have expressed dismay at the ending, but I didn't think it ruined the novel. You can read my full reviews of both The God of Small Things and Memoirs of a Geisha online at Amazon.

I'm currently reading A Confederacy of Dunces (another book I should probably have read long ago). It's an episodic novel that I've really enjoyed so far, particularly because I am familiar with New Orleans and I love the city. Some of the characters have made me laugh out loud. I'll post my thoughts on the entire novel once I've completed it.
