Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Last week, I went to a Mississippi Braves game at Trustmark Park in Pearl. What fun! A friend of mine serves as scorekeeper, and his wife is part of my gals' group. The two of them were able to get a suite at the ballpark for a bunch of us to socialize, snack and watch the game.

It was a blast! The whole Bradshaw crew went. We bought burgers, drinks and Cracker Jacks and headed up to the suite, where we found more snacks - peanuts, popcorn, snack mix. The nice representative from the ballpark came by to welcome us and gave everyone cool MBraves hats. The air conditioned suite had a television and a row of benches facing the window so you could watch the game from inside. And because the seats outside were shaded and right underneath a very powerful ceiling fan, so it was cool and comfortable either way.

Trustmark Park is a great venue (and just the right size) for our market. Not too big, not too small. The park is well-designed and beautifully maintained. They have different promotions each night (We were there for Thirsty Thursday.), including fireworks and partnership nights with local business and organizations. (The very next night was my company's night at the park! We do it every year!)

Honestly, I was so busy eating and talking and laughing that I have no idea if the MBraves won or lost. But we had the best time singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame and soaking up the Americana of it all.

If you haven't been there lately, they have home games scheduled through early September. It's not too late!
